ASUS India clocks world record scores with Intel Xeon CPU’s
Mumbai, India 17th May 2016 – ASUS, the leading manufacturer of motherboards and computer peripherals achieved five overclocking world records today on their server motherboard with two Intel Xeon E5 2699 V4 CPU’s. Shatul aka Toolius and Amey aka Darky successfully hit world records on Cinebench, Geekbench 3 Multicore, GPUPI 100M for CPU, Cinebench R15, wPrime 1024M and HWBOT Prime.
ASUS exclusive overclockers, Shatul aka Toolius who is amongst the top 25 overclockers in the world along with Amey aka Darky, a veteran in the overclocking scenario achieved this feat by using the Asus Z10PE-D8 and ASUS Geforce GT610 WS along with Intel Xeon CPU’s, Memory, SSD, PSU and Water cooling.
Commenting about the accomplishment, Toolius and Darky were overwhelmed which took them approximately 7-8 hours to bench the winning scores. “It is interesting to note that benching on a server board is completely different compared to benching on the legendary ROG motherboards which are designed for overclocking. Since the main objective with server boards is to attain rock solid stability, it was pleasing to see ASUS provide tons of overclocking options for a 2P server board for extracting more performance. It was amazing to see how stable the platform was even at overclocked speeds, clearly indicating how sorted the motherboard is. For a board to have such stability on a launch bios for the new CPUs is truly remarkable.” said Amey aka Darky
Toolius speaking about the experience said, “While benching for Cinebench R15, after getting the settings right, when we ran for the first time, we actually cracked up after seeing an unbelievably high score. The way in which Cinebench ran, was something you have to see in person to believe.
While running Cinebench R11.5 initial scores were so low that it had us perplexed. However after trying out a few tweaks, the next run resulted in a World No.2 score! As for us, it was a very different experience in terms of overclocking. Since the whole point of overclocking is to see boost in performance, it was mind numbing to see the brute force this platform showcased in terms of performance.
The following set up was used by Shatul and Amey during Overclocking session:
Motherboard : Asus Z10PE-D8 WS ( Latest Retail BIOS: 3204)
CPU : 2 x Intel Xeon E5 2699 V4 ( 22 core/ 44 thread each)
RAM : 8 x 8GB Kingston 2133 MHz ECC DDR4
PSU : Antec 1300W High Current Power
Cooling : Custom water cooling for both the CPUs
Graphic Card : Asus Geforce GT610 PCIe
Hard Drive : Samsung 750 EVO SSD
Operating System : Windows 2008 R2 x64
