Google has announced that it will be rolling out physical gift cards in retail stores across India. The Google Play Gift Cards are available in Spice Hotspot, Vijay Sales, Planet M, Planet Mobile and Sangeetha Mobiles. It can also be purchased online via Snapdeal as a cash-on-delivery shipment. The gift cards are available in three denominations of Rs. 750, Rs. 1,000, and Rs. 1,500. Google Play Gift Cards can be used to purchase, digital content as well as for in-app purchases.

Following the launch of Google Play prepaid vouchers in June, Google today announced the rollout of physical gift cards in retail outlets across India. Google Play Gift cards are available in 3 denominations (₹750, ₹1000 & ₹1500) and can also be purchased online on Snapdeal.com as COD shipments.
“We hope the increased availability of Google Play Gift Cards will make it easier for users to enjoy your favourite movies, books, magazines, apps, and games across all your devices. Users in India can buy games like Prince of Persia at Rs. 10 or get big discounts on movies like The Great Gatsby or Sherlock Holmes during this promotion ” Saurabh Agarwal, Head of Retail Partnerships – Google Play, India said in an official blog post.
