Nintendo has officially announced the release timeline of its Switch 2. The console will be officially launched on June 5, 2025. The company has also confirmed the price of the device. It will be priced at $449 which roughly translates to Rs 38,000. However, the company has not revealed any details about whether the device will be released in India or not. According to industry insider Rishi Alwani’s newsletter 0451 Games, Nintendo representatives visited the India Gaming Show 2024 in February. They reportedly met with multiple vendors to discuss the possibility of an official launch. While these discussions are ongoing, Nintendo has yet to confirm any official plans for the Indian market.
Even though an official launch is still uncertain, the device will most certainly be available in the grey market. As we previously saw with the original Switch. Traders are already preparing to stock the device, with some customers offering deposits to secure launch-day units. “Like the Switch launch, I don’t know if I will have enough stock after day one,” a trader told 0451 Games.
Nintendo Switch 2 India Pricing
