What’s special about Whoop fitness wearable?
The fitness company Whoop introduced its initial fitness tracker, Whoop 1.0, in 2015. Over time, the wearable evolved, leading to the release of its latest version, Whoop 4.0, in 2021.
The most notable difference between Whoop and other wearables is the physical design: Whoop lacks a screen.
Unlike many other wearables, the Whoop doesn’t require removal for charging. This unique feature enables serious fitness enthusiasts to continuously track their metrics around the clock, 24/7, without interruptions for charging.
The company claims that the users can wear their Whoop anywhere on their body, and can still get lab-level accurate data that outperforms other leading wearables.
The Whoop app calculates daily performance scores, health metrics and real-time stress levels.
Recently, the company launched a new “WHOOP Coach” feature which offers real-time answers. This feature is powered by OpenAI and uses the wearer’s personal WHOOP data, and the latest in human performance science to give them custom performance coaching.
