“We recognise the iOS/Android challenge, and we ultimately hope that our devices are of such calibre that people will be willing to switch,” Hon Pak, Samsung’s vice president and head of the digital health team, was quoted as saying.
The smallest Galaxy ring in the lineup comes equipped with the smallest battery, boasting a capacity of 14.5mAh. As the size of the ring increases, so does the capacity of the battery, reaching its peak with the largest model, which houses a 21.5mAh battery.
The smallest ring available in the selection weighs just 2.3 grams, while the largest size weighs 2.9 grams.
Much remains to be determined, or at least unveiled, regarding the Samsung Galaxy Ring, such as its release date and pricing details.
It is expected that in the coming future, smart rings will take over our smartwatches. In the Indian market itself, companies such as Boat and Noise have already released their smart rings.
