The Galaxy Watch will reportedly come with Bixby 2.0, which is said to replace the S Voice feature, but there might not be a dedicated button for it.

Rumours of Samsung’s next smartwatch have been circulating on the internet but there was no definitive proof of its existence. Now, a logo of the device has been spotted online by SamMobile, which the company has registered in South Korea. As per the report, Samsung has already filed for copyright protection of the 'Samsung Galaxy Watch' and even the 'Samsung Galaxy Fit' brand names in the United States. In a separate report, SamMobile claims that Samsung’s smart assistant Bixby will make a debut on the Galaxy Watch.

The confirmation of the Galaxy Watch moniker comes via the Korean Intellectual Property Office, where Samsung has also registered the Galaxy Watch logo. The registration website doesn’t reveal any specifications or features of the device. However, the watch could run on Android and Google’s Wear OS for smartwatches. Additionally, the Bixby integration is said to replace the now dated S Voice feature and instead of a dedicated Bixby button, the watch’s home button and a "Hi, Bixby" launch phrase could be used for activating the feature. The report further states that the Bixby 2.0 will be used on the device, which could be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch (Gear S4) in August along with its second flagship of 2018, the Galaxy Note 9. A previous report tipped that the company has commenced production of a panel level package (PLP) chip to make the device thinner, leaving more room for a bigger battery. The smartwatch will reportedly feature a 470mAh battery, which is bigger than Gear S3’s 380mAh. Rumours suggest that the company will be combining the features of its Gear S3 smartwatch and the Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker for the Galaxy Watch.
