Now, a recent APK teardown of the Samsung Health app has revealed health tracking features of the highly anticipated Galaxy Ring. In this article, we delve into the revealed features and explore what users can expect from Samsung’s smart ring.
Android Authority managed to successfully activate several health-focused features of the Galaxy Ring within the latest Samsung Health app. For starters, users will be able to measure their heart rate and stress levels. Check the image below to see how the UX will look like within the app:
Additionally, the Galaxy Ring will offer the capability to measure skin temperature and predict menstrual cycles. For snore tracking, users will need their phone nearby and charging. Unfortunately, no other features have been revealed by the APK teardown.
In related news, it was recently reported that the Galaxy Ring will likely come with a feature called “Lost mode.” When the ring is misplaced and requires assistance to locate, the Samsung Find app is expected to offer the option to activate a light embedded within the ring, causing it to blink.
Moreover, the app might provide feedback to the user, indicating whether the light is indeed blinking or if there are connectivity issues preventing the activation. Also, Lost mode could offer additional security measures, allowing users to lock their Samsung accounts directly from the app. This precaution would ensure that unauthorised individuals cannot use the Galaxy Ring or access sensitive information linked to the user’s account.
