Samsung Galaxy Ring shown at MWC 2024: It’s lighter than Boat, Noise smart rings

Barcelona is bustling with the roar of the Mobile World Congress 2024. Brands are all set with their most ambitious projects. It’s just the first day and crazy news is coming across. During the MWC 2024, Samsung unveiled the prototype of its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Even though smart rings are not very popular at the moment, they aren’t a new concept. It is expected that in the coming future, smart rings will take over our smartwatches. In the Indian market itself, companies such as Boat and Noise have already released their smart rings. Let’s see what the Samsung Galaxy Ring is all about and how it compares with those of Boat and Noise.
As I said, the Samsung Galaxy Ring displayed at the MWC 2024 is just a prototype and Samsung has not shared a lot of details about it. What we know so far are the design, weight, colours, and sizes.

Samsung Galaxy Ring features we know so far
- The Galaxy Ring will be available in three colour ways which are Silver, Gold, and Black.
- It will be available in nine different sizes from ring size 5 to 13.
- It could be the lightest possible wearable smart ring weighing between 2.3 grams to 2.9 grams.
- Samsung will introduce a new health scoring system called My Vitality Score with the ring which will also come to the Galaxy Watch 6 series and Galaxy S24 phones.
- It could drop by the end of this year and could include features such as health and wellness.

Galaxy Ring vs Boat Smart Ring vs Noise Luna Ring
We will compare the three rings on the basis of the only three features that wBoat e know for sure about the Samsung Galaxy Ring so far.
Weight
The Noise Luna Ring weighs about 3 to 4 grams, whereas the Boat Smart Ring weighs 7.9 grams. The Galaxy Ring, on the other hand, weighs between 2.3 to 2.9 grams. So, one point to the Galaxy Ring here.
Sizes
Coming to the sizes, the Luna Ring is available in seven sizes between ring sizes 6 to 12. The Boat Smart Ring is available only in three sizes which are 7,9, and 11. Lastly, the Galaxy Ring is available in nine sizes between 5 to 13. So, another point to Samsung.
Colour
Last but not least, speaking of colour options. Noise offers seven colour options. These are Midnight Black, Lunar Black, Stardust Silver, Rose Gold, and Sunlit Gold. The boat offers just one colour, charcoal black. And Samsung offers three colours: Silver, Gold, and Black. Noise takes the point here.
We will only be able to compare these three properly once we know more details about the Samsung Galaxy Ring. So let’s wait and see if it’s really better than the other two.
