In an alarming incident, a Turkish user has reported that Samsung’s Galaxy Buds FE exploded while in use, causing permanent hearing loss. As more people rely on wireless earbuds for daily tasks like work, calls, and entertainment, such news raises serious concerns about the safety of these devices.

The incident, shared on Samsung’s Turkey forum, involved a man whose girlfriend was using the Galaxy Buds FE when they suddenly exploded, causing immediate and irreversible hearing damage. Shocked by the accident, the user reached out to Samsung’s technical service, hoping for a thorough investigation and proper resolution.

However, Samsung’s response fell far short of expectations. Instead of providing a detailed explanation, the company merely offered a replacement pair of earbuds. The user expressed deep dissatisfaction with this response.

Samsung’s examination of the exploded earbuds did not reveal any clear reason for the incident, which has left users worried about the possibility of similar accidents happening to others.

This event brings back memories of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 battery crisis, where exploding batteries led to a global recall of the smartphone. Given the close proximity of earbuds to a user’s body, especially their ears, such incidents raise major concerns about the safety of wearable technology.

Critics are urging Samsung to take the matter seriously and ensure that customer safety is prioritised. Many believe that stricter quality control checks are needed to avoid further risks. The user involved has expressed his intention to take further action, emphasising that Samsung must do more to protect its customers.

As wearable devices like wireless earbuds become more popular, this unfortunate case serves as a reminder of the importance of strong safety measures in product design and manufacturing.
