Prices for the Apple Watch in India may start at Rs. 30,900

Apple may launch all three variants of the Watch in India, and prices for the device may go all the way up to Rs. 14.2 lacs

Prices for the Apple Watch may start at Rs. 30,900 in India, and can go all the way up to Rs. 14.2 lacs. Sources close to Gadgets 360 have said that the 38mm variant of the Apple Watch Sport may retail at Rs. 30,900, while the 42mm variant of the same may be priced at Rs. 34,900.

The same sources have also said that Apple could launch the entire range of the Apple Watch in India. This includes its most expensive variant – the Apple Watch Edition with Gold Case and Modern Buckle. This variant has been tipped to cost about Rs. 14.2 lacs. Apple may also sell the full range of bands in India, with prices starting at Rs. 3,900 for the Sport Band.

In the US, prices for the Apple Watch start at $349, which is about Rs. 22,700, for the 38mm variant of the Apple Watch Sport. The most expensive variant of the device, the Apple Watch Edition with Gold Case and Modern Buckle, is priced at $17,000, which is approximately Rs. 11,07,500.

Although Apple had not made any official announcement about the launch of Watch in the country, the Apple India Website mentions that it will be available from November 6. However, if anyone wishes to purchase the device right now, it is presently avaialble on Grabmore.in, with prices starting at Rs. 36,999, and going all the way up to Rs. 17,68,700.

The Apple Watch is available in two sizes (38mm and 42mm) and three variants – Sport, Watch and Watch Edition. The Apple Watch Sport comes with a Ion-X Glass, while the Apple Watch and Watch Edition come with Sapphire Crystal glass protection. The smartwatch is powered by an S1 chip and is charged via a magnetic charging port. The Apple Watch also comes with a Digital Crown, and Force Touch display. It also has a heart-rate sensor, allowing it to be used as a fitness tracker as well.
