OnePlus has confirmed the launch of its first smart wearable product, the OnePlus Band in India. After weeks of teasing its fitness tracker, the company will finally make its foray into the smart wearable segment with the OnePlus Band on January 11. The OnePlus Band has been leaked previously and the company has separately confirmed several key features of the fitness band.
OnePlus took to its social media handles to reveal that it will launch the OnePlus Band on January 11 at 11 AM. The announcement will take place online where the company will announce its fitness tracker. The rumour mill has been keeping up with the company’s plan to launch the OnePlus Band. We have seen several leaks now and OnePlus has confirmed some of those features as well.

The launch date of January 11 was previously tipped in a leak and it is also expected to be priced around Rs 2,499 in India. The OnePlus Band could feature a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 5ATM certification making it resistant to dust and water.
The fitness band is expected to arrive in three colours, Black, Navy and Tangerine Gray and weighs 22.6 grams. It is also equipped with SpO2 blood-oxygen saturation monitor, optical heart rate sensor and more. The OnePlus Band will offer 14-day battery life from its 100mAh battery.
The companion app for the OnePlus Band is called OnePlus Health and it was recently released on the Play Store. The app will serve as the dashboard for all OnePlus wearables going forward and is expected to let users keep a track of their sleep, heart rate and fitness along with providing reports based on the analysis.
OnePlus is also working on a smartwatch powered by Google’s WearOS and it is tipped to launch in early 2021. We expect the OnePlus smartwatch to make an appearance alongside the OnePlus 9 series that is rumoured to launch by mid-March. The company could also tease the smartwatch during the launch of OnePlus Band next week.
