Moto 360 2nd Gen launched in India, prices start at Rs. 19,999

Motorola has launched the Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch in India. Prices for the device start at  Rs. 19,999, up to Rs. 23,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Myntra from 7:30 pm today. The Moto 360 2nd Gen comes in two sizes, 42mm and 46mm and both support 20mm and 22mm bands. The device is built using aircraft-grade steel with Corning Gorilla Glass protecting the screen. The new device retains the round face of its predecessor including the ‘flat tire’ display. The physical power button on the device has been shifted to the 2 o’clock position from the original 3 o’clock position. The device was announced at the IFA event in Berlin this year. 

The 42mm variant of the watch comes with a 1.37-inch display with a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels and a 300mAh battery. The 46mm variant has a larger 1.56-inch display with a resolution of 360 x 330 pixels and 400mAh battery. Both variants are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at the 450MHz. It also comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. It also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 L.E and Wi-FI. Additionally, it comes equipped with an accelerator, ambient sensor, gyroscope, and optical heart rate sensor. The device is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification and can withstand immersion in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. The Moto 360 2nd Gen is compatible with Android smartphones with limited compatibility with the iPhone.

The original Moto 360 was launched in India last year at Rs. 18,990. The device comes with a 1.56-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 290 and is powered by a TI OMAP3630 Soc clocked at 1GHz. It also comes with 512MB RAm and 4GB internal storage.
