Lenovo has unveiled its first wearable device the Lenovo smartband SW-B100. The wearable tracks your daily sleep, exercise and heart rate as well as displays notifications to suit your personal and work time.

The Lenovo smartband comes with an app that allows you to sync up with a smartphone to receive alerts on incoming calls or texts. Users will also be able to get alerts from social media sites like Facebook and a few other social platforms. The wearable has a unique feature that lets you log into your PC without having to enter a password.

The smartband works with devices running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and up as well as iOS 7.1 and higher devices. The wearable supports Windows PCs, but Lenovo hasn’t mentioned support for Windows Phone devices. Lenovo says on the product page that the device will be available in blue and grey colors, however no release date has been given.

Lenovo describes the wearable on its product page as: "The Lenovo Smartband…allows you to track daily exercise, sleep and heart rate, customize notifications to improve both work and life efficiency and automatically log in on a PC without entering a password."

Sony announced its SmartBand Talk at the IFA 2014 in Berlin. The device has a 1.4-inch e-ink display. The wearable can make and receive calls thanks to its built-in microphone and speaker. Other features include an accelerometer, altimeter and IP68 rating. The device will be available in white and black colours. Read: Microsoft smartband with 11 sensors coming in October: Reports
