California-based Jawbone has officially launched the UP MOVE, UP2 and UP3 in India. All three fitness bands are up for preorder on Amazon.in.

Kicking things off with the Jawbone UP MOVE, it is priced at Rs. 4,999. The UP MOVE can be clipped anywhere including your sock, on a bra strap, or on the pocket of your jeans. For those more comfortable with the device on their wrists, straps are available likewise.

Coming to its features, the UP MOVE tracks a user's steps, exercises and calories burned, along with hours slept and quality of sleep. Users can go deeper and use the UP App’s personalized food library to track meals and manage weight.

Jawbone claims that the UP MOVE lasts up to six months with a replaceable watch battery. It is available in a variety of colours, too.

Moving on to the UP2, the device is priced at Rs. 9,999. The design of the UP2 makes it 45% slimmer than its predecessor. It has an anodized aluminium framework, and Jawbone claims that it has a 10-day battery life and is shower- and splash-resistant. The UP2 is available in Black Diamond, Light Grey Hex and Violet Circle

Last but not least, we have the Jawbone UP3. The device is priced at Rs. 14,999. Jawbone claims that the UP3 is the most advanced activity tracker yet. Jawbone has thrown everything into the UP3, exluding a display and the kitchen sink. It comes with a plethora of features including a multi-sensor platform that includes a tri-axis accelerometer, bioimpedance sensors, and skin and ambient temperature sensors. The UP3 also delivers resting heart rate. In addition, the device can track the user's sleep including REM, and acts as a smart coach, the whole nine yards! It is available in Black Twist, Silver Cross, Ruby Cross, Indigo Twist, Sand Twist and Teal Cross colours.

Adding a social angle to fitness, users can challenge others with the Jawbone bands to a 24-hour, 3-day or weeklong challenge.

“We're delighted to bring UP by Jawbone to India, a market where consumers are both design savvy and hugely interested in the latest consumer technology. With heart disease and diabetes remaining two of the major causes of death in India, keeping a healthy and active lifestyle has never been more important. Our UP bands help people better understand their health and well-being by tracking sleep, activity, and nutrition along with clear tools – through our UP app and Smart Coach system – to help them take action and live better.” said Travis Bogard, Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Jawbone. “By combining the unique design of our UP activity trackers with our award-winning health app, Jawbone provides the best-in-class wellness solution for Indian consumers.”
