Huawei Fit supports continuous heart rate monitor with high signal strength for better accuracy

Huawei is all set to announce a new fitness tracker dubbed 'Huawei Fit' later today. The Huawei Fit is a watch-style fitness tracker with a round watch face and always-on monochrome touchscreen.

The Huawei Fit features a round face and the design is similar to the Pebble Time Round. Huawei Fit will track steps, sleep and even monitor heart rate during workouts. According to The Verge, the fitness tracker will be available from Best Buy, Amazon and Newegg starting at $129.99, but it is unclear whether the wearable will ever be available in other markets. Huawei Fit will be available in silver or grey finish with an option of black, orange or blue straps. It has an 18mm strap, which makes it easy to swap with any strap available in the market.

Huawei Fit can automatically track when you are walking, running or sleeping. Apart from counting steps, distance covered, it can also convert that data into calories burned. Huawei Fit lacks standalone GPS but it syncs with Huawei's Wear app for accessing info on Android or iOS.

Huawei claims the active heart monitoring on Fit will be highly accurate thanks to its high signal strength. Lately, fitness trackers with heart rate monitors have been deemed inaccurate and consumers have complained about different results. Huawei Fit claims to have better accuracy where wearers can manually measure their heart rate or use automatic tracking.

Huawei Fit offers traning guidance for 5K, 10K, half marathons and full marathons. The Fit is also capable of notifying wearers about incoming calls and messages. Huawei claims the battery will last for six days between charges with normal use and up to 30 days on standby. The wearable reaches full charge in less than two hours.
