Huami has launched a new wearable in India. Dubbed the Amazfit Verge Lite, the device is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available via Flipkart from today onwards. As the name suggests, the new wearable is a ‘lite’ version of the Amazfit Verge, which was launched a while back. The company claims that the Verge Lite offers a battery life of 20 days. Other features of the wearable include a 1.3-inch AMOLED display and as well as GPS and GLONASS tracking. The wearable is said to offer multi-sport tracking, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, music control, app notifications, and more. The wearable also offers customisable watch faces and is able to track multiple sports.
Mark Mao, Vice President of Overseas Business, Huami, stated, “We received an overwhelming response following the launch of Verge last year. This year, we are excited to announce the launch of Verge Lite an advanced variant to Verge in India on Flipkart.com. This smartwatch comes with some interesting advanced functionalities making it a must-have for fitness enthusiasts at an affordable price bracket. We are looking forward to receiving a positive response from the Indian market.”
Other features of the wearable include a sleep tracker and a new coating process that is said to be developed by Huami Technology. This process is said to make the wristband “soft, dry, dirt-resistant and comfortable to wear.”
Last month, Huami launched the Amazfit Bip Lite at Rs 3,999. The Bip Lite is said to offer a 45-day battery life and sports an optical heart rate sensor. It packs a 1.28-inch always-on display and is said to be able to automatically detect various activities. The wearable is able to track up to four cardio activities including running and cycling. It is also water resistant up to 30 meters and can be used when swimming.
