Google shows off Android Wear notifications
Google reveals new pics for Android Wear notifications, shows how to add support to apps.
Google has revealed some more details about its Android wear platform. The internet giant has posted some pictures showing Android Wear notifications, ahead of its Google I/O developer conference next month.
Google stated in a blog post that the Android Wear smartwatches, will show traditional Android notifications with the picture, app name and relevant information. Google has urged developers to make more applications with notifications implemented in a way that would work seamlessly and beautiful on Android Wear smartwatches. The internet giant has released lots of new APIs that will allow app developers to make those notifications even more rich including music controls for your music app, etc.
The screenshots posted by Google show how the Nest home thermostat and smoke detector can alert you to conditions at home or how you can set reminders on your calendar for appointments. Google has also posted a more advanced notification like Pocket Casts with a pause / playback button as well as the ability to skip music tracks. Google may be also be planning to reveal a lot more about its Android wear by the time June 25th rolls around.
Google announced its Android wear project in March and has tied up with several fashion, electronics and technology companies like Fossil, Samsung, HTC, Motorola and LG to launch a new range of wearable devices this year.
