Garmin Instinct fitness tracker with built-in GPS launched in India at Rs 26,999

Garmin India has launched its Instinct wearable in India. The device comes with support for multiple navigation systems (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo), 3-axis compass and a barometric altimeter. It also sports a heart rate monitor. The Garmin Instinct fitness tracker is available in three colour variants, Flame Red, Graphite and Tundra and is priced at Rs 26,999. It will be available offline at Garmin’s authorised stores and select Helios stores, and online portals like Amazon, Paytm Mall and thegarminstore.in.

The Garmin Instinct sports a fiber-reinforced polymer case and is thermal, shock and water resistant (US MIL-STD 810G). The company notes that the display is chemically-strengthened and scratch-resistant and can be read easily in bright sunlight. The Instinct can monitor heart rate activity and stress. It also offers pre-loaded activity profiles that includes running, biking, swimming and more. Garmin claims that the Instinct can offer a battery life of up to 14 days.

At the launch of the device, Ali Rizvi, National Sales Manager, Garmin India stated, “India is a very important market for Garmin and holds a great potential for the lifestyle segment. We are excited to introduce INSTINCT as its India’s first Lifestyle watch for the people who wish to have an approachable smartwatch that is rugged and reliable. Built on U.S. military standard 810G for thermal, shock and water resistance, the watch holds all the technologically advanced features for the people who loves to explore outdoor experiences.”
