Highlights:
Fitbit has quietly launched two new fitness trackers, the Inspire and Inspire HR, but these are not commercial products. The release is under the Fitbit Health Solutions brand which caters to companies, health insurance companies and other such corporates. The Inspire and Inspire HR are essentially business to business products and as of now, not available for purchase.
The Fitbit Inspire features daily activity and sleep tracking, along with support for alerts for calls and text messages. The Inspire is water resistant, meaning it can be taken swimming and it also features a touch screen for easy navigation of the user interface. The Inspire HR, on the other hand, also features a heart rate monitor which monitors the heart rate 24/7. Due to the presence of a heart rate monitor, the Inspire HR is also able to record sleep stage data for greater insight into sleeping habits. Lastly, the Inspire HR can also track pace and GPS coordinates for your runs but needs to have a smartphone present for this. Fitbit says the Inspire and Inspire HR will give up to 5 days of battery life on a single charge.
The two new trackers are available only through Fitbit’s corporate partners. The Inspire is available in two colours; black and Sangria while the Inspire HR comes in Black, White/Black and Lilac. The last consumer products launched by Fitbit was the third generation Charge. The Fitbit Charge 3 retails for Rs 13,999 and features a host of health-related features. Besides being able to track runs and workouts, Charge 3 also sports a 24/7 heart rate monitor, deep sleep tracking and 7-day battery life. If Charge 3 is expensive, and you’re looking for the same kind of features as the Inspire, you can always just go for the Fitbit Alta and Fitbit Alta HR.
