Apple recently launched the iPhone 16e, and we can get to see a couple of more devices in the coming months, MacBooks with M5 chipsets are expected soon, along with the new iPad lineup. And amidst all of that, rumours about the next Apple Watch Ultra 3 have also started to come in. Last year, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was expected but that didn’t happen. Now, rumours expect the device to drop during this year’s Spring launch event, the new Watch Ultra is expected to arrive with significant internal upgrades.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 expected specification
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 can get a display upgrade. Rumours suggest that it will adopt the LTPO3 OLED Retina display for smoother animations and better visibility. Additionally, it may feature a redesigned metal back for better cellular performance and faster charging.
If reports are to be believed, the Watch Ultra 3 can pack a new chip, possibly the S11 and introduce 5G connectivity with a MediaTek chip. Satellite connectivity is another potential feature, allowing users to send texts and emergency messages even without cellular networks.
One of the most exciting features that we can see on the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is the hypertension detection feature. For those unaware, Apple has been working on a new hypertension detection feature by tracking blood pressure. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Ultra 3 could be the first device to introduce it. Once this feature goes live, your Apple Watch will be able to track trends in blood pressure and alert users if hypertension is detected, potentially saving lives by catching high blood pressure early.
In the past, we have heard of various instances where Apple Watches have turned out to be life saviours. The addition of hypertension detection technology seems like another step in that direction.
