Apple has announced that the “Apple Watch For Your Kids” feature will now come to India. It can be used on the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 and later. With this, parents can stay connected with their kids without having to hand a smartphone to them.
You can use features such as “Personalised Activity”, with this you can set goals to allow your kids to have an active lifestyle.
There’s also a location tracking feature that parents can use to easily track their child’s location through the Find People app and receive customizable location notifications. In case of an emergency, the “Emergency SOS” feature can also be used.
Parents can manage contacts in their kids’ Apple Watch so that they can make and receive calls and messages.
During school time, this feature can be enabled. It limits distractions during school hours, restricts app access, and enables Do Not Disturb.
With this, kids can enjoy age-appropriate apps that they can download directly from the App Store on their Apple Watch.
How to use it?
Apple Watch For Your Kids is available in India on cellular models of Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or later. However, you will need an iPhone (iPhone 6s or later) to set up this feature.
Now, to use this feature, parents can set up an Apple Watch for their child using their own iPhone and a separate cellular plan for the watch. There will be The child will have their own Apple ID, allowing them to access features like Calendar, Reminders, and photo albums synced from the parent’s iPhone.
