During the Glowtime event, Apple introduced the new iPhone 16 series. There were four new iPhones that came out. Along with that, everyone was expecting that Apple would introduce the next generation Apple Watch Ultra 3. But that didn’t happen. The tech giant only introduced the Apple Watch Series 10 and an enhanced version of the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Now, word on the street is that Apple is still working on the Watch Ultra 3 and can release it in 2025.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to launch the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in 2025, along with the third generation of the Apple Watch SE. He added that Apple can most likely release it in the third quarter of 2025, likely alongside the iPhone 17 series.
Now the delay in the launch of Watch Ultra 3 is not only a disappointment to fans, but it will also impact the sales figures of Apple. According to Kuo, the shipments of the current Apple Watch Ultra 2 could decline by up to 30% year-on-year, contributing to a 10% overall drop in Apple Watch shipments.
So if you go by this, Apple might not introduce the new Watch Ultra 3 during its October event. During the October event, Apple might just focus on the new MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini, all of which are expected to feature the M4 processor.
Apple is not done for the year just yet, it will introduce these new products as soon as next month. Right now, Apple is yet to share any information about the same. So let’s wait until then and see, who knows if the company has planned anything for its fans.
