The Watch Ultra was introduced by Apple in September 2022, followed by the release of the Watch Ultra 2 earlier this year. Now, it seems like Apple is working on an affordable version of the Apple Watch Ultra. Check out what is expected to be different about it.
The new Apple Watch Ultra renders from FCC have been shared by @ParrotSWD on X (formerly Twitter), reports MySmartPrice.

According to the renders, the new Watch Ultra will likely come with a familiar rugged exterior, a signature of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, featuring the usual arrangement of the digital crown, Action button, speaker grilles, microphones, and more. However, upon closer examination, distinct differences can be seen, hinting at the possibility of this being a more budget-friendly iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra.
Both the Watch Ultra and Watch Ultra 2 feature durable aerospace-grade Titanium cases, featuring a metal Action button and a colour-matched ceramic and sapphire crystal back panel.
However, according to FCC renders, the new Watch Ultra could feature a black ceramic back panel reminiscent of the Apple Watch Series 9 and older. Notably, the redesigned Action button appears to be crafted from plastic, a significant deviation from the metallic button found on the Watch Ultra 2.
These changes suggest that Apple might be creating a cheaper version of the Apple Watch Ultra. The company could also be trying to lower the price of the Ultra series, so that more people can afford it.
Let’s take a look at the Apple Watch Ultra 2’s specifications. The Watch Ultra 2 features a 49mm dial with sapphire front crystal and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Also, this wearable is powered by the S9 processor and is said to offer up to 36 hours of backup on a single charge.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a heart rate sensor and blood oxygen sensor, and it also tracks temperature changes. The watch’s other features include a water resistance rating, on-device Siri, ECG, crash detection and more.
