Xiaomi has added a new screen size to its lineup of Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition TVs. This new entry has a 40-inch display with a Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The new TV also has a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Eshwar Nilakantan, Category lead – TVs, Mi India, noted, “At Mi India, Smart TVs are one of the biggest categories for us. We are always working towards bringing in specifications and features based on our customers’ feedback to best suit the market needs.”
The Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition has a 40-inch display with a 1920x1080p resolution with a refresh rate of 60Hz. For audio, the TV has 20W of sound output. When it comes to connectivity, the TV has two USB ports, one ethernet port, one mini-AV port, three HDMI ports with support for ARC, headphones out, and an optical port. The TV also supports Bluetooth 4.2 and only the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi band. It has an Amlogic Cortex A53 quad-core CPU and the Mali-450 MP3 GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage.
Unlike what we have seen on the Mi QLED TV (review) and the Redmi Smart TV (review), the TV runs on Android TV 9 out of the box instead of Android TV 10. It also comes with Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI, which puts content before the streaming services.
Running on Android TV, users have access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar, and more. Users can also download more apps from the Google Play Store. The TV comes with a Chromecast built-in along with the Google Assistant.
The Mi TV 4A 40 Horizon Edition is priced at Rs 23,999 and will be available on mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart, Mi Studio & Retail partner stores. it should be noted that the availability of the TV will be subject to the respective state Govt. guidelines of serviceability.
