Realme has sent out invites where the company has highlighted the launch of the Realme TV and Realme Watch. The mail sent out by the brand reads, “The wait is finally over, the party is about to get started with realme! As we are ready to introduce new members of our family – the realme TV and the realme Watch along with other accessories!”
Realme also highlights that the launch of the TV and the Watch will be a digital launch and will take place on Monday, 25th May 2020 from 12:30 pm onwards. Users will be able to catch the launch of the two devices on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube.
According to Realme, the brand has “hit a major milestone of earning 35 million worldwide users, out of which 21 million users are based in India”. So it is clear that India is a very important market for them. How well they compete in the TV space is something we will know when we check out the TV. If information circulating the internet is to be believed, then the TV could come in two screen sizes – 32 and 43-inches however, the specifications of the TV are not yet known. It is speculated that the TV will come with support for Netflix and run on the Android TV UI. Whether the TV will support HDR and a 4K resolution remains to be seen.
Recently, we saw Kodak launch their Android TV range of TVs with support for Dolby Vision along with support for all popular streaming services. You can check out the details of the Kodak TVs here.
