OnePlus forayed into the television segment back in September last year with the launch of OnePlus TV 55 Q1 and the Q1 Pro. The two televisions feature a QLED display with 95.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio and the pro variant gets a sliding soundbar. OnePlus says that it will soon roll out a new major update for the devices, which will bring a host of new apps, along with a new connectivity feature. While the complete changelog for the update is listed below, some of the notable additions include notable apps like Spotify, Voot, JioSaavn, MX Player and more.
The update will also add an option to connect Bluetooth headsets with the OnePlus TVs. This could be a great feature for users who don’t want to disturb others while watching content. The new update will be applied to all new OnePlus TVs being sold and the update is slated to hit existing OnePlus TVs soon. “We at OnePlus strive to take the home environment to the next level of intelligent connectivity. The new update brings a lot of viewing and listening content to the OnePlus TV,” says General Manager of OnePlus India, Vikas Agarwal.

The Q1 Pro comes with eight speakers while there are a total of four speakers on the Q1. Alongside stock Android TV OS, the company offers OxygenPlay UI on the OnePlus TVs.
