Nokia 43-inch 4K Android TV launched in India at Rs 31,999, will go on sale June 8
Nokia has been teasing the 43-inch TV since march, and the TV has launched officially.
The first sale for the Nokia TV will take place on June 8 at 12 pm IST on Flipkart.
The 43-inch Nokia TV runs on Android TV, supports 4K and HDR including Dolby Vision and comes with speakers powered by JBL.
The Nokia 43-inch TV has been in the news for months now and the company has officially teased the TV since March 2020. We now have the official details about the Nokia 43-inch TV including the price, specifications and launch date. The 43-inch TV brings with it almost all the features that are available in the 55-inch variant, albeit, in a smaller package. The TV has the same sound by JBL with the front-firing speakers resting below the display, it comes with a 4K panel with support for Dolby Vision. However, the peak brightness of the two TVs is different. While the Nokia 55-inch TV brings with it 400nits of brightness, the 43-inch TV brings with it 300 nits of peak brightness which is less when you look at HDR content. We will have to see the TV in-person to know what a difference it makes. Running on Android TV, users will get access to all popular streaming services including Netflix, Prime Videos and Hotstar. For connectivity, the TV has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports.
Nokia 43-inch 4K TV Specifications and Features
As the name suggests, the 43-inch Nokia TV brings with it a 43-inch 4K (3840 x 2160 pixel resolution) panel with support for HDR and Dolby Vision. Since the TV specs on Flipkart claim 178-degree viewing angle, we think it could have an IPS panel. The peak brightness of the TV is 300 nits which is 100 nits lower than the peak brightness of the 55-inch Nokia TV. To put things into perspective, the Kodak 4K 43-inch TV with support for Dolby Vision has 500 nits of peak brightness.
For connectivity, the Nokia 43-inch 4K TV has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. It also supports Wi-Fi but 2.4GHz band only. It also has 3 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports. It has an optical port but no 3.5mm port. The TV has a refresh rate of 60Hz. Under the hood, it has a CA53 quad-core, 1GHz processor, 2.25 GB RAM and 16GB storage. It also comes with Bluetooth 5.0.
As mentioned above, the Nokia 43-inch TV runs on Android TV and brings with it support for apps like Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Videos and many more from the Play Store. Coming to the audio from the TV, it has speakers powered by JBL with a sound output of 24W. It supports Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround.
