Akai India has added a new range of Fire TVs to its roster in the country. These 4K HDR TVs are out in three sizes viz, 43”, 50”, and 55”. The company already has a 32” variant in the market. The newcomers have LCD panels with LED backlights, and present leading HDR standards like HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision. Speaking of which, the speakers are 20 watts and aided by Dolby Atmos. The list of treats also includes connectivity options like 2x USB-A, 3x HDMI, and IR port. Here’s everything you need to know about.
Akai 4K Fire TVs are available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch sizes. The UHD (3840 x 2160) screens are backlit by LEDs and benefit from Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG picture quality. The underlying picture processor is Amlogic 9th Generation Imaging Engine. The supported refresh rate is 60 hertz and the viewing angle is 178 degrees.
The visuals from the TV are complemented by Dolby Atmos aided 20W speakers. If you want, you can also connect Amazon Echo smart speakers to this TV.
Coming to the software side of things, you get Fire TV OS with additional goodies like Alexa voice controls, DTH Set-Top Box Integration, OTT apps (like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Disney+ Hotstar) as well as YouTube and other 5000+ apps from the integrated app store. You also can use Alexa Voice Remote to launch apps, search and play various content, control smart home devices, and enjoy Alexa Skills.
The I/O options you get with the Akai 4K Fire TV are three HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, and an IR Port. There is also the option to use the Fire TV app on your iOS or Android phone to control the TV. At the heart of things, there is a 1.95GHz Quad-core processor, paired with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage.
The new line of Akai 4K Fire TVs will be available at a starting price of ₹41999 via Amazon and other multi-brand stores from February 15, 2022.
