HIGHLIGHTS

Snapdeal has partnered with Reliance Jio to deliver Jio SIMs, with eKYC on Snapdeal's website.

Snapdeal is delivering Reliance Jio SIM cards to people’s doorsteps. The initiative is under the test phase right now and is open only to customers who have received an email from Snapdeal for the same. The e-commerce platform has tied up with Jio to deliver the SIM cards free of cost. That means Snapdeal will not be charging you anything for this service, and the eKYC for activation of the SIM can be done on the Snapdeal website.

After booking a SIM, customers will have to schedule a time slot for delivery. They will then receive a confirmation SMS on their mobile, along with the delivery time and promocode. This promocode has to be given to the Reliance Jio representative who delivers the SIM to you. The Jio SIMs delivered will be on the Happy New Year offer, announced by Mukesh Ambani a few weeks ago.

It is worth noting that while the offer is only available to select customers right now, Snapdeal may eventually open it to all customers. The service is accessible only through the email sent by Snapdeal and won’t be found on the website otherwise.

Reliance Jio’s services have been sought after ever since the first Welcome Offer was announced. The company recently announced its Happy New Year offer, which will be used from January 1 onwards, till March 31. Under this, users get 1GB of data per day, reduced from the 4GB limit that was allowed on the Welcome Offer.
