Jio is one of the biggest telecom providers in India. A lot of people use and rely on its networks. Today, a lot of people are reporting that Jio is down for them. Even Downdetector has shown a massive surge in the reports of Jio networks being down.

Downdetector, a website that keeps track of things like this, reported that around 10,372 Jio users reported network errors at around 12.40 pm on September 17, 2024. According to its data, over 68% of Jio users reported ‘No Signal’ 18% of the users reported mobile internet problems, and 14% faced issues with Jio Fibre.

Since it affects a lot of Indians, keeping in mind Jio’s user base, #Jiodown is also trending on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the posts on X, reports are coming in that Jio servers are currently down because of a fire at IDC, which is its data centre. This has also sparked a meme fest on X. A lot of users tagged Mukesh Ambani and asked for the issue to be resolved as soon as possible. Moreover, those who use Jio Fibre services were also troubled by the outage.

However, no issues were reported with carriers such as Airtel, Vodafone Idea (Vi), and BSNL.

This is not the first time such an issue has happened with Jio. Even back in June, Jio users faced such an issue. They were unable to access the internet and such an uproar was seen back then too. Because of the internet issue, users were also unable to use their social media. Were you one of those who had faced the issue back then?

Jio hasn’t addressed the outage yet but we are expecting it soon from the company. If you are also facing the same issue, stay tuned on digit for more updates on the same.
