It’s been a long time since Airtel made any major changes to its Infinity postpaid plans. The telco has now revamped its Rs 499 infinity postpaid plan and is now offering additional data, along with some other offers. With the Rs 499 infinity postpaid plan, a user will now receive 75GB of 3G/4G data. Previously, one would get to avail 40GB of high-speed data. Calling benefits remain the same, as the refreshed Rs 499 pack offers unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, along with 100 SMS per day. The plan also includes a data rollover facility, which carries forward unused data to the next bill cycle.
Additionally, subscribers of Airtel's Rs 499 Infinity plan will also be eligible for a free Amazon Prime subscription for one year. Users also get free access to the Airtel TV and Wynk Music services, and are eligible for the Airtel Secure plan, which offers protection against accidental or liquid damage along with antivirus and cloud backup. However, unlike other higher priced packs, this Airtel plan does not offer free add-on connections. It should be noted that the company’s website is yet to reflect the revised Rs 499 plan. However, we checked and found that the additional data benefit shows up on the My Airtel app.
Airtel revamping its most popular postpaid plan comes soon after Vodafone did the same with its RED postpaid plans. Vodafone is now offering more data to its users, along with a free subscription to Amazon Prime under all its RED packs. One can also get a free Netflix subscription on some of the higher priced plans. Alongside these offers, Vodafone postpaid subscribers will also get access to Vodafone Play, Mobile Shield, Red Hot Deals and Bill Guarantee, which are free of cost. The company’s RED postpaid plans start at Rs 399 and go up to Rs 2,999. You can read more about the new plans here.
