Competition in the telecom sector keeps increasing. To stay ahead of the curve, the three major telecom operators, Vodafone-idea, Jio and Airtel keep launching new services and revamping their existing offerings. Airtel has now quietly made new changes to some of its unlimited prepaid plans to offer more data and benefits. The Rs 399, Rs 448 and Rs 499 prepaid recharge options by the telco now credit 400MB of additional data, over the existing daily data benefits, to a user’s account. Additionally, there are some benefits with these plans that one can avail such as Device Cashback, free Airtel TV Plus subscription and more.
Starting with the Rs 399 plan, Airtel prepaid users will now receive 1.4GB of data per day, up from 1GB per day. This plan also comes with unlimited calling and has a validity of 84 days. The Rs 448 plan used to offer 1.5GB daily data but it will now be available with 1.9GB data per day for 82 days. The plan also comes with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. Finally, the Rs 499 pack now credits 2.4GB data per day, up from 2GB daily data. This plan has an 82 day validity, offers unlimited calls and comes with 100SMS per day.
The three aforementioned plans come with some additional benefits. These benefits include free Airtel TV Premium subscription that enables Airtel users to access Zee5, HOOQ, 350+ live TV channels and more. There’s also a one-year free subscription of Norton Mobile Security, along with free access to Wynk Music. There’s also a 4G device cashback where users buying a new phone can avail up to Rs 2,000 cashback. The revamped offering by Airtel comes soon after the company revised its Rs 129 and Rs 249 prepaid plans to offer Rs 4 lakh life insurance cover.
