In a move that affects millions of customers, Airtel has increased the prices of its various prepaid and postpaid plans. With this new increment, prices have gone up by almost 20%. The revised prices might roll out by next week. Here’s everything that you need to know about the same.

The increased tariffs impact both prepaid and postpaid customers. As well as both for data and calling packs. The company says that this has been done to push the ARPU beyond ₹300 to maintain profitability.

Firstly, let’s talk about prepaid plans. The annual plan that earlier cost ₹1,799 will now cost ₹1,999. This means a straight-up ₹200 increase. Further, the ₹2,999 will now cost ₹3,599. This is a ₹600 increase.

Coming to the postpaid plans now. The ₹399 plan which offered up to 40GB of data and an Xstream Premium subscription, will now cost ₹449. The ₹499 plan, offering 75GB of data and subscriptions to Xstream Premium, Disney+ Hotstar, and Amazon Prime, will increase to ₹549.

  • ₹1,999: 24GB total for 365 days
  • ₹299: 1GB/day for 28 days
  • ₹349: 1.5GB/day for 28 days
  • ₹409: 2.5GB/day for 28 days
  • ₹449: 3GB/day for 28 days
  • ₹579: 1.5GB/day for 56 days
  • ₹649: 2GB/day for 56 days
  • ₹859: 1.5GB/day for 84 days
  • ₹979: 2GB/day for 84 days
  • ₹3,599: 2GB/day for 365 days
  • ₹22: 1GB for a day
  • ₹33: 2GB for a day
  • ₹77: 4GB with the existing plan

As per Airtel, these new plans will come into effect starting July 3. By next week, the website will also be updated with these plans.
