On January 9, the moon will pass in front of the Pleiades Star Cluster, also known as the “Seven Sisters.” This stunning sight will be visible to those with binoculars or small telescopes. It’s not just a one-time event—this phenomenon will occur again in February and July, as reported by Space.com.
March brings two major sky events. On March 13–14, a total lunar eclipse will turn the moon a striking red as it moves through Earth’s shadow. This sight will be visible to millions across the United States and is sure to be a highlight for stargazers.
Later in the month, Saturn will temporarily lose its iconic rings. From March 23 to May 6, the planet’s rings will be tilted away from Earth, making them nearly invisible through telescopes. But don’t worry—by May, the rings will begin to return.

A partial solar eclipse will occur on March 29, visible in parts of Africa, Greenland, and Europe. While it won’t be a total eclipse, it will still provide a fascinating view of the alignment of the Sun, Earth, and Moon.
Venus will be a star attraction in 2025. In January and February, it will shine so brightly that it can even cast shadows. By April, Venus will move to the morning sky, appearing as a slender crescent just before dawn.
August will bring another spectacular meteor shower—the Perseids. Despite the brightness of the moon, bright fireballs will light up the sky. At the same time, Venus and Jupiter will appear very close to each other for several mornings.
