Rumours indicate that ZTE is working on a smartphone with a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge-like curved display, all-metal body and may run on the Snapdragon 820 chipset

Rumours circulating the Internet suggest that ZTE’s next flagship smartphone, the Nubia Z11, will feature a curved display and an all-metal body. The ZTE Nubia Z11 will have a flatter display when compared to the slightly curved overall feel of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. The smartphone will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 820 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM. No information is there about the built-in storage, but the smartphone will support expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card. The device will have a 20.7MP rear camera, and a 13MP front camera, and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

There is no information available about the price or launch period of the device, but it does look like it will house a fingerprint reader at the back. We have seen the launch of a number of smartphones sporting a fingerprint sensor, including the Honor 7, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, OnePlus 2 and many more.

It will be interesting to see smartphones running on the snapdragon 820 chipset. After the heating issues with the 810, the 820 will be the chipset that can make or break Qualcomm's dominance in the smartphone chipset market. We have seen the likes of the MediaTek Helio X10, and Samsung’s Exynoss chipsets and more gain market share in the past year, and Qualcomm will be wary of the present market.
