Zopo has launched the Speed 8 smartphone in India at Rs. 29,999. The device will be available via online and offline channels from today. The phone was the world’s first device to be powered by the MediaTek’s deca-core (10 cores) X20 SoC, and also the first to bring the chipset to India. It also features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and 4GB of RAM. At the back of the device is a 21MP primary camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor, while at the front is an 8MP camera. It is equipped with a 3600mAh battery and offers 32GB of storage. The Zopo Speed 8 was first unveiled at MWC 2016.
The phone’s predecessor, the Zopo Speed 7 was launched in India in August last year at Rs. 12,999. The device features a 5-inch FHD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 SoC with 3GB of RAM. it also sports a 2500mAh battery and offers 16GB of storage. In October, the company launched an upgraded variant of the phone called the Speed 7 Plus. The device was pretty similar to the Speed 7, but featured a larger 5.5-inch FHD display and a 3000mAh battery.
