It seems Yu Televentures’ teasers were about the Yu Yureka Plus smartphone. The Micromax-owned brand just launched the device in India, at a price point of Rs. 9,999, just a little more than the Yu Yureka before it. The device is obviously an upgrade to the Yu Yureka and features the same Snapdragon 615 SoC along with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. While the Yureka had a Sony IMX135 sensor on the rear camera, the Yureka Plus sports the IMX214 sensor.
The display resolution has been bumped to Full-HD though, while the size remains the same at 5.5 inch. The device also has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with 4G support for both TDD and FDD LTE bands. It has a 2,500 mAh battery.
the Yu Yureka Plus will sell at Rs. 9,999 on Amazon, with the first flash sale scheduled for July 24. The registrations for this sale will begin on July 21. Interestingly, while the teaser video for the Yureka Plus showed rugged usage, the company has made no mention of this aspect while launching the device.
