Micromax's new teaser videos suggest its next gen Yu phone will come with powerful speakers and solid build quality.
Micromax is gearing up for the launch of its new YU phone, called the Yuphoria. Even as the official launch is tomorrow, the company has already started advertising on social media, launching a page on Amazon along with a couple of video teasers.
According to video teasers, the new YU Yuphoria will focus on build quality and may come with powerful audio. There are speculations the phone may feature stereo speakers as well. Amazon is likely to be the exclusive online-partner for the forthcoming Yuphoria smartphone. Micromax has already revealed a few specifications of the Yuphoria. The phone is likely to be powered by a 64-bit SoC along with 2GB of RAM. It will have 16GB of built-in memory. The phone will run Android Lollipop customized by Cyanogen.
The new Yuphoria is successor to the popular Yu Yureka, considered to be one of the best phones for around Rs. 10,000. Micromax's new YU brand is competing against the likes of Xiaomi, which is targeting the tech enthusiasts and youth in India. YU's strategy is very smilar to Xiaomi such as flash sales, custom ROMs and attractive pricing. We've already reviewed the YU Yureka phone, we were impressed by the camera and 64-bit processor but were disappointed by the CyanogenMod and display quality.
