The Yu Yureka is scheduled to go up for its first flash sale tomorrow on Amazon.
The recently announced Yu Yureka smartphone is about to go on sale tomorrow. The company will reportedly put up 10,000 units of the Yu Yureka up for sale in its first flash sale, to be held on Amazon. This seems rather small, considering that Yu has received three lakh registrations for its first smartphone. The flash sale model had been started in India by Xiaomi and the company had taken a lot of flak over the low number of units.
On the other hand, Yu’s flash sale model is slightly different from Xiaomi’s. According to Amazon’s email sent to registered users, while the devices are limited to one per user and the total quantity will go down as soon as a Yureka unit is added to a person’s card, there will also be a wait list. If the smartphone is not available when you click on ‘Add to cart’, you can join the waiting list. Users who have added the Yureka to their cart will have 15 minutes to buy the device, following which, the device will again go up for sale and the next person on the waiting list will be prompted to buy the device.
This seems like a better model than what Xiaomi follows, although it also means that Yu is unlikely to post the split second numbers that Xiaomi boasts in its sales. That said, it also ensures that each and every unit of the 10,000 that are put up are being sold to users, which is again a positive aspect.

Step 2: Add Yureka Smartphone to your cart when the Sale starts and checkout the product within 15 minutes. No further steps are required if order is successfully completed.
Step 3: If all the Yureka Smartphones are already added to cart by other customers, you might be asked to join a Waitlist. We recommend you to join the Waitlist. If the original buyer fails to complete the order within 15 minutes, the smartphone will become available for purchase to the customer in Waitlist.
Step 4: If you are in Waitlist, an alert will appear on your screen notifying when the smartphone becomes available with the 'Add to Cart' button activated.
Step 5: You will have 3 minutes to add the smartphone to your cart and 15 minutes to checkout in order to complete your purchase.
Step 6: If the Waitlist is full as well, we recommend you to refresh the page every few minutes till end end of the Sale to see if the Waitlist becomes available.
