Here’s something that Lumia fans will love. In an effort to increase the popularity of its devices, Microsoft is giving consumers a chance to try out its devices without buying them. The initiative requires you to enter your name and some other details into a web form and mention why you want to try out the device. The company says that anyone, from a Tech Blogger to a casual consumer, can register and get a chance to try out the device.
The devices included in the effort are the Lumia 630, Lumia 735, Lumia 930, Lumia 830, Lumia 1520 and Nokia X (a non-Lumia device and instead runs a forked version of Android). Further, the terms and conditions mention that deliveries can’t be made to Turkey and Siberia, owing to customs restrictions. Devices will be given out for a period of two weeks and trialists must be above 16 years of age. In order to sign up for the program, you need to go to the Lumia Conversations blog and fill out the form that the company has provided.
What’s surprising here is that the Nokia X is also part of the trial. The Nokia X line had recently been shut down, but Microsoft seems to still have some plans for it. We have often seen promotional posts about the same on Twitter as well, although with the Nokia brand now completely shut down, there’s little chance that Microsoft will go for Android on its devices.
