Xolo has announced its first Windows Phone running smartphone becoming the second Indian device manufacturer to adopt Microsoft’s mobile platform

Just a week back we saw Micromax officially announcing its partnership with Microsoft by launching two Windows smartphones. Today we are hearing that Xolo (a premium brand of Lava Mobiles) has also joined Micromax and now has become the second Indian handset maker to have a Windows Phone running smartphone in its portfolio. 

The Win W900s is a Windows Phone 8.1 running smartphone priced at Rs. 11,999 which is said to be available for pre-order at Rs. 9,999 on Snapdeal. Regarding the specifications, the handset comes with a 4.7-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS OGS display with scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass. Other features include a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 302 GPU, an 8MP rear camera with PureCel sensor and LED flash, a 2MP front facing camera,  8GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual-SIM card slots. It comes packed with an 1800mAh battery and is said to be the lightest Windows Phone smartphone launched till date. 

The smartphone will be officially available in the second week of July.
