Xolo Q800 X-Edition and A500s IPS budget smartphones available online

Xolo Q800 X-Edition and the A500s IPS are listed on the companies official website as well as online retail websites

Xolo has added two new smartphones to its portfolio – Xolo Q800 X-Edition and A500s IPS. The smartphones are priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 6,499 on Flipkart respectively. On the official website, the Q800 X-Edition doesn’t have a price, though the A500s IPS is listed for Rs. 7,249.

Starting with the Xolo Q800 X-Edition, the smartphone has a 4.5-inch IPS display with a 960×540 pixel resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The smartphone has a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It is 9.6mm in thickness and weighs 143.5 grams. It also sports dual-SIM capabilities.

The rear of the Xolo Q800 X-Edition smartphone has an 8MP camera and the front has a 1MP video-calling camera. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable via a microSD card. A2100mAh battery powers the smartphone and Xolo claims that the smartphone will last for 360 hours of 2G as well as 3G standby time, 16 hours of 2G talk time and 10 hours of 3G talk time.

Moving on to the Xolo A500s IPS, the device has a 4-inch IPS display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. The smartphone has the MT 6572W chipset with the dual-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz and 512MB RAM. The smartphone is 8.9mm in thickness. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the rear has a 5MP camera and the front has a VGA camera. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable via a microSD card.

A 1400mAh battery powers the entire package and Xolo claims that the battery will last for 10 hours of 2G talk time and 492 hours of 2G standby time. It will last for 8 hours of 3G talk time and 470 hours of 3G standby time. The A500s IPS is available in a bunch of colours including blue, white, red, green and black.

The A500S IPS is an upgrade to the A500s and as the name suggests, the only difference is the existence of an IPS display. The Xolo Q800 X-Edition on the other hand is an upgrade to the Xolo Q800
