Xolo Q1020 with 5-inch 720p display, wooden frame launched

The Xolo Q1020 will be competing against a range of budget Android smarthphones in the market.

Xolo has introduced a new Android smartphone called Xolo Q1020. Priced at Rs. 11,499, the new Xolo device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6582 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

The Xolo Q1020 has a 5-inch 720p display with 294ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and Exmore RS Sensor, and 2MP front facing snapper. It has 8GB built-in storage, supports 32GB additional storage via microSD.

In terms of connectivity, the Xolo Q1020 supports dual-SIM, 3G , WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It is powered by a 2100 mAh battery.

One of the main highlights of the Xolo Q1020 is the wooden frame. It may be recalled Motorola's Moto X had gained wide popularity for its wooden back covers. Xolo appears to have continued its focus on the budget segment. The company recently launched Xolo One smartphone, featuring Android 4.4.2 (upgradable to Android 5.0), quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The Xolo One is priced at Rs. 6,599.
