HIGHLIGHTS

Xolo's introducing the third of its quad-core devices into the Indian smartphone market soon and we’ve got the specs on it.

Xolo’s next Android flagship phone, the Q1000, is all set for launch as online retailer Flipkart prepares the product page for the phone. This will be the third quad-core phone device in Xolo’s portfolio, following the Q800 that launched last year and the Q700 which launched last week.

The Xolo Q1000 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The phone also has 1GB of on-board RAM along with 4GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone sports a 5-inch screen with 1280×720 pixel resolution, pegging its pixel density at 295ppi. For those looking for photography chops, the Q1000 has an 8 megapixel BSI sensor for the primary camera along with LED flash and autofocus. The phone will support dual-SIM functionality, which should be great for those who general carry two numbers with them. Along with dual-SIM, the phone also supports the usual connectivity options such as 3G (HSDPA: 42.2 Mbps, HSUPA: 11.5 Mbps), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.

The Xolo Q1000 has been listed on Flipkart as coming soon, with no price tag yet, although we expect the phone to be under Rs. 15,000. Of course, this is only speculation and we will know the final official price once the phone becomes available in the coming days.
