Xolo 500s Lite, dual-SIM Android smartphone launched at Rs. 5,499
The Xolo 500s Lite features dual-SIM support, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and Mali-400 MP GPU coupled with 512MB of RAM.
Xolo has launched a new entry-level Android smartphone called the Xolo 500s Lite. Priced at Rs. 5,499, the Xolo 500s Lite features dual-SIM support, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor and Mali-400 MP GPU coupled with 512MB of RAM.
The smartphone has 4-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It has 3 MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. It comes with 4GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB. A 1,400 mAh battery powers the device and is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talktime on 3G. The 500s Lite is less expensive version of the Xolo 500s launched last year. The Xolo 500s was also a dual-core smartphone with 5MP camera.
Xolo has been focussing on its budget Android smartphone offerings. With the new Xolo 500s Lite, it aims to target the entry-level segment whereas with smartphones such as Xolo Q900T it focusses on the budget segment.
After the launch of Moto G and Moto E smartphones, Indian brands are under pressure to ramp up their offerings. We’ve already seen Micromax, Lava and Spice launching their Moto E rivals.
