Xiaomi unveils new 10000mAh powerbank, takes on Asus and OnePlus
Xiaomi's new power bank is 21.4 percent slimmer and 30 percent more energy dense than the previous version. The device is likely to be priced approximately Rs. 700.
Xiaomi has announced a new power bank which it claims to be 21.4 percent slimmer and 30 percent more energy dense than the 10400mAh power bank it launched last year. The new power bank, called Mi PowerBank, comes with 10000mAh capacity. The company is likely to launch the device in India in next few weeks. The device is expected to be priced around Rs. 712.
"We've just introduced our latest 10000mAh Mi Power Bank that's 21.4 percent slimmer and 30 percent more energy dense than the 10400mAh version! This means it can fully charge a Mi Note 2.1x, and iPad 1x," Xiaomi said in a tweet. The new power bank is supposed to be lighter and slimmer. It weighs around 207 grams, measures 60.4mm wide and comes with features such as LED notifications, microUSB for charge and USB slot for 5.1V / 2.1A output.
Xiaomi's new powerbank will compete against Asus' new 10050mAh powerbank that recently launched in India for Rs. 1499. Asus' weighs 215g and features charging with up to 2.4A output, and PowerSafe Technology that monitors temperature, controls both input and output voltages, and guards against short circuits providing maximum safety while charging. Another competition comes from OnePlus' 10,000 mAh powerbank that is available for Rs. 1399. The powerbank features 10,000 mAh portable power bank with lithium-polymer batteries, Input: 5V/2A; Charging Time: 5.5h, Dual USB ports (5V-2A) for charging two devices at a time, Battery indicator LEDs, Safety features to prevent overcharging and overheating.
Xiaomi's last 10400mAh battery had gained a lot of attraction for its low price and high battery capacity. The device was launched at Rs. 999. The company also offers a Mi 5200mAh Power Bank, which is priced at Rs. 799. Xiaomi recently unveiled a 16000mAh Power Bank. The Mi 16000mAh Power Bank is available in China at CNY 129 (approximately Rs. 1,300).
