Xiaomi seems to be preparing for the launch of its new device. From the two teased images, it seems Xiaomi might be launching the new Mi Box and new Mi TV

Xiaomi is hosting a launch event tomorrow in China. While the company is expected to launch the new Mi5, teased images suggest otherwise. Earlier today, Xiaomi teased two pictures on its facebook page talking about the new design as well as the best in class build quality. Taking only these two images into account, Xiaomi might launch a new and redesigned Mi Box as well as new Mi TV.

The first image which states “Redesigned from head to tail” could be pointing towards a smaller Mi Box which may be powered by USB Type-C connector. The other images which show three frames with particularly slim bezels and the statement “Top of its range” might be pointing towards new Mi TV from the company. Besides the TV and the Mi Box, Xiaomi is in the news lately because of its upcoming smartphone, Mi5, which is also rumored and to see a launch tomorrow as well.

The Xiaomi Mi5, is one of the much awaited smartphones of this year. The phone will be competing against the OnePlus 2 which will launch later this month on July 27th. The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to bring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 but we have also heard rumors that Xiaomi might skip the 810 and could bring the phone with a Snapdragon 820 (which seems highly unlikely if the phone is launched tomorrow). Other rumored specs include a 5.2-inch 2K display, 4GB of RAM, a 16MP primary sensor and a 13MP front-facing camera.

As for the storage and battery, rumors suggest that they are going to remain unchanged as the phone is rumored to be available in 16/64GB storage and will carry a 3000mAh battery. Apart from the regular specs, a fingerprint scanner is also rumored. Keeping recent leaks in mind, it is expected that Xiaomi will be launching a second phone, most probably a Mi5 Plus alongside the mi5. If so, it will feature a similar design in a slightly larger package. The fact that Xioami's previous flagship, the Xiaomi Mi4 failed to make any impact in India, puts extra pressure on the upcoming premium smartphone.
