Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro buyers will be able to avail an instant Rs 2,200 discount under the “Jio #GiveMe5 Offer” and will also receive double data on recharges priced at Rs 198 and above.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 (review) and the Note 5 Pro (review) smartphones in India just a day back. During the launch event, the company announced that the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro will be on sale with a Rs 2,200 Instant Cashback offer by Reliance Jio. We now have details of the Xiaomi-Reliance Jio offer. Under the “Jio #GiveMe5 Offer”, customers buying the device will not only receive the instant cashback of Rs 2,200 but also up to 4.5TB 4G data with the handsets.
On purchasing the smartphones, Jio subscribers will receive double data as a part of the offer on recharging with plans priced at Rs 198 and above. Through this a total of upto 4.5TB of 4G data can be availed by Jio users on the purchase of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. An instant cashback of Rs 2,200 will also be directly credited to a user’s Jio account after the first recharge. Sources tell us this is a first of a kind cashback offer from Jio. Relaince Jio has yet to make the offer live but an official announcement is expected when the Redmi Note 5 smartphones go on sale starting February 22.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro as Flipkart exclusive devices. The Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant and after the cashback it will effectivelty be worth Rs 7,799, whereas it will cost Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM model and as per the offer, its effective price will be Rs 9,799.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro’s price will also be effectively lowered to Rs 11,799 on availing the Jio cashback offer for the 4GB RAM/32GB ROM model. After the cashback, the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM Redmi Note 5 Pro variant will effectively cost Rs 14,799, from its launch price of 16,999.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display with 2160 x 1080p resolution and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 processor. It comes with a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup and features a 20MP front-facing camera with Beautify 4.0 feature and Selfie-light.
The Redmi Note 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and features a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 display with 2160 x 1080p resolution. It comes with a single 12MP rear sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens, an LED flash and comes with a 5MP front-facing camera, which is capable of recording Full HD videos and comes with a Beautify 3.0 feature for selfies along with an LED flash.
Both the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro run on MIUI 9 atop Android Nougat and are backed by a 4000mAh battery. They feature a rear placed fingerprint scanner and supports connectivity options like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and comes with a micro-USB port for charging.
