Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 leak hints at 6GB RAM, dual pixel AF camera and 4500mAh battery
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 allegedly ditches the dual rear camera setup for a single camera with dual pixel autofocus
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 could be the next announcement from the Chinese smartphone maker. A purported image of device has appeared on Chinese microblogging site Weibo hinting at the successor to original Redmi Pro. The authenticity of these images are not confirmed but the Weibo user claims it to be a legitimate product poster.
The image was first spotted by Playfuldroid and hints at the smartphone arriving in two different variants. A standard model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while another variant offers 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone allegedly sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a Chinese-made OLED panel.
The leaked image hints at the smartphone being powered by a yet to be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 66x chipset. Further, while the Redmi Pro came with a dual rear camera setup, the Redmi Pro 2 is tipped to sport single rear camera module with dual pixel autofocus. The rear camera is reportedly a 12MP shooter with a Sony IMX362 sensor.
The smartphone shown to be backed by a 4500mAh battery, which is a significant up from the 4050mAh battery seen on last year's Redmi Pro. The poster also reveals that 4GB RAM variant will be priced at 1599 Yuan (approximately Rs. 16,000) while the 6GB RAM model is tipped to cost 1799 Yuan (approximately Rs. 18,000).
