Xiaomi has announced that the price of the Redmi Note Prime smartphone has been brought down to Rs. 7,999, from the original launch price of Rs. 8,499. The device is exclusively available on Amazon.in and Mi.com. In addition, customers can also purchase the Mi 4, and Mi 4i at reduced prices as part of the Mi Week on Amazon. The Mi 4 will be available at Rs. 12,999, while the Mi 4i will be available for Rs. 9,999. The Mi Week will be held between February 16 and February 19, 2016.
The Redmi Note Prime comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. There is a 13MP primary camera located at the back of the phone with a 5MP front facing camera. The device is equipped with 16GB of onboard storage that is expandable via a microSD card. The device is also equipped with a 3100mAh battery. The Redmi Note Prime was the second Xiaomi smartphone to be made in India.
